The Beginning of The End of The GOP: Sarasota, Florida

Death at the hands of a cult.

It’s amazing what’s happened to the Republican Party that I grew up in, my family being stanch Republicans since the civil war. They stood with Lincoln and Roosevelt, fighting traitors and corruption, and stood with Eisenhower against the Nazis. The party started changing with Nixon, who made lying and cheating accepted, the ends justifying the means. It has become a fully criminal enterprise, taken over by frauds and grifters like Rick Scott and Donald Trump. “Unfettered Capitalists”, in the words of Pope Francis, hijacked the party several decades ago and suckered many Republicans into supporting their “Tea Party”, pretending to be patriots, leading them to form a cult that bought into lies and treason, hook line and sinker.

It’s no coincidence that Sarasota has become the center of the cult, with local politicians like Joe Gruters helping frauds like Rick Scott, CEO of the largest Medicare fraud in history, and Donald Trump (mastermind of huge scams like Trump University and the Trump Network) elected to the most important political positions in the country. Now we have notorious criminals like Michael Flynn and infamous conmen settled in Sarasota, hooking innocent retired Republicans into their web of treason and crime with sophisticated propaganda spreading the most outrageous lies and conspiracies imaginable.

I hope it is the beginning of the end for these traitors and criminals, as people start waking up to the fraud that’s been perpetrated. It’s amazing to me that so many continued to support them after the depth of their treason and crime started to become evident when Trump sided with Putin and Russia against our own armed forces intelligence and leaders. Amazingly, many continued even after the destruction of our public health infrastructure, intentionally spreading a lethal disease that killed thousands of Americans who would be alive today if not for the sabotage. Even more amazing, many continued to support the party when MAGA became the most powerful force in the party, executing an insurrection and attempted coup 1/6/21.

This election in 2022 may be the turning point where patriotic Republicans finally wake up to the fact that their party has become a lying, cheating, murderous criminal…
