Being overweight can be a very painful life. Sometimes, in order to feel better when it is critically important to save your sanity, a person needs to stop whatever they were doing to lose weight and take a break from it. When that happens, finding some way to approve of yourself is better than beating yourself up. Deep down though, we all know it’s better not to be overweight, even though we may talk a good game of rationalizations. There is not a single person who is successful in permanent weight loss who hasn’t had hundreds, if not thousands, of episodes of starting and then abandoning their weight loss efforts. It’s part of the process leading to success.
